CASE STUDY

A couture digital home for a royal milliner

Jane Taylor has made hats for royalty since 2007, with signature designs the industry copies and a client list from Royal Ascot to London Fashion Week. Her consultancy needed a site that holds that company: editorial, unhurried and precise, with the portfolio doing the talking.

01 / the problem

The website has to dress as well as the client list.

A milliner whose work appears at Royal Ascot, on London Fashion Week runways and in Harrods can't launch a template site. Every detail, type, pace, image treatment, had to feel couture, while the business underneath, consultancy, VIP styling, masterclasses, wholesale strategy, needed clear routes in.

The portfolio is the argument, so the design leads with it: full-bleed imagery, a masonry gallery of signature pieces and collaborations, and testimonials from names that carry weight in the industry.

  • 01 Match the craft of couture millinery in digital form
  • 02 Lead with an image-first portfolio
  • 03 Present consultancy services with equal polish
  • 04 Keep motion elegant, never showy

02 / the solution

Editorial pacing, cinematic motion, couture restraint.

React 19 + ViteGSAP + LenisReact Router 7Formspree

The site moves like a lookbook: GSAP-driven reveals, smooth Lenis scrolling and typographic pacing that lets each image land. A masonry portfolio collects the signature work, from Royal Ascot couture to the Emilia Wickstead runway collaborations, with services and packages presented in the same editorial voice.

Under the surface it's a modern React build: lazy-loaded routes, code-split components, dark and light themes, and a validated enquiry flow, fast enough that the elegance never costs the visitor anything.
