CASE STUDY

A global power-supply catalogue rebuilt for speed

XP Power manufactures power supplies for the systems that can't fail: medical devices, semiconductor fabs and industrial technology. Its web platform carries a deep technical catalogue, a global engineering audience and two languages. We rebuilt it around a series-and-model architecture with instant search and an admin the content team actually uses.

01 / the problem

Thousands of products, engineers on a datasheet mission.

Power supply buyers arrive knowing exactly what they need: wattage, form factor, certification. The old experience made them dig. The catalogue had to model the real hierarchy, product series carrying the story and imagery, individual models carrying the specs, and get engineers from search box to datasheet in seconds.

Around the catalogue sits a full corporate platform: applications content for healthcare and semiconductor audiences, resources, stock checking and a German locale, all managed by an in-house team through a modular page builder.

  • 01 Model a series-and-model catalogue properly
  • 02 Get engineers to the right spec in seconds
  • 03 Run EN and DE content from one admin
  • 04 Give the marketing team a real page builder

02 / the solution

Catalogue architecture first, brochure second.

The platform separates ProductSeries from ProductModel, so a series page sells the range while every model row carries searchable technical specs with unit-aware conversions. Algolia indexes the lot for instant, typo-tolerant search across thousands of products.

Content runs through a block-based page builder in Filament, with every page assembled from reusable sections and translated through the same admin. The new frontend wraps it in a sharp, dark, engineering-led design language with the electron-green accent carrying the brand.

what we delivered

The work behind the result

Series and model catalogue architecture

The numbers that matter, visible while they can still change decisions.

Algolia-powered product search

Mapping the users, journeys and decisions before anything was designed.

Block-based page builder

Interface and identity work that gives the product its feel.

EN and DE localisation

The detail work that lifts the product above its spec.

Applications and resources content system

Structured content the team can publish without a developer.

Stock check integration

Connected cleanly to the systems the business already runs on.

Filament admin panel

The screens where the day-to-day work actually happens.

Performance-first frontend rebuild

Interface and identity work that gives the product its feel.

03 / the result

Engineering-grade web for an engineering brand.

XP Power's platform now matches the precision of its products: a catalogue engineers can navigate at datasheet speed, run by a content team that ships in two languages without a developer.
